The Autonomous University of Chapingo, recognized for its academic prestige and focus on agricultural and sustainability issues, honored us with a visit from a group of students interested in learning about the roots and secrets behind Potosí mezcal. From the moment they arrived at our mezcal distillery, enthusiasm and curiosity filled the air.
Our guides led the students through each step of the mezcal production process. From the selection of mature agaves to distillation in copper stills, the young people had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the very essence of artisanal mezcal.
The experience was not limited to the production process. The students also tasted the mezcal produced by Mezcal Júrame. Guided by our expert tasters, they discovered the nuances of flavors and aromas that each variety offers.
